Claude Drouin
Claude owned his own practice in Loughborough for more than 25 years and is an experienced vet (DVM, MRCVS). He passionately believes that the most humane end to life, which we would all wish for, is to die peacefully in our own home. His domiciliary service provides for your beloved pet. You are encouraged to be present throughout.
At first telephone contact, Claude will talk through the situation with you. Then, at the beginning of the visit Claude will help you be sure that you have arrived at the right decision for you and your pet. He will then explain the process and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you wish.
His two stage protocol uses and anaesthetic as a first injection, so the animal gradually drifts to sleep, giving you the chance to provide comfort. The animal is then unaware of the second euthanasia injection and completely stress free.

You, your family and your friends will always remember your last hours with your loved one. You want them to be caring and dignified for everyone present and the one you are saying goodbye to.
Claude passionately believes that the best possible place is where they are surrounded by the sounds, smells and people that they have spent their life with. In their own bed, in their favourite space.
After the initial anaesthetic injection, Claude encourages everyone to comfort their pet while they gently drift to sleep. Cuddles and whispers will make them feel peaceful and loved.
Claude will be with you on this difficult journey and help you understand it all the way.

Euthanasia with the client arranging for burial/ cremation
Option 2:
Euthanasia with removal
of the body for communal cremation (no ashes returned)
Option 3:
Euthanasia with removal of the body for individual cremation and return of the ashes in a scatter tube or casket.

(please contact me for a quotation for visits outside these times)

COVERAGE AREA
No mileage fees are charged within the orange shaded areas.
In the green areas mileage fees are charged at £1/mile.
Please request a quote for services on a weekend, bank holiday or outside Mon-Fri 8am-11pm.
Ashes are provided in a scatter tube but a large range of caskets with plaques are available. Request a quote for options.
